E.C. Murray (Elizabeth Corcoran Murray) is a teacher, freelance writer, and author. She wrote An Unfamiliar Guest, an intriguing, highly acclaimed mystery set in the northwest. Her memoir A Long Way from Paris, was named a KIRKUS BEST BOOK of 2014. She’s published in Hybrid Mom, Spokes and Strokes, ABILITY magazine, Seattle Child, and more.

The founder and publisher of The Writers Connection, EC studied writing at the University of Washington and Stony Brook, Southampton, New York. Her short story, “The Urban Goatherd” received a Pushcart nomination. Her first "tiny book"--read in less than hour--Life Kind of Sucks, reflects her Masters in Social Work with suggestions on dealing with difficult times. Her second "tiny Book" Writers Unblocked:Insightful Tips from Award Winning Authors in and around Seattle offers writing advice from the authors and poets interviewed in the Writers Connection.
